Common Error Codes:
- Er1 – possible causes:
- sample is too small
- problem with the test strip
- problem with the meter
- very low blood glucose – if the customer is suffering symptoms such as weakness, sweating, nervousness, headache or confusion they should treat themselves for hypoglycaemia.
- Er2 – possible causes:
- problem with the test strip
- problem with the meter
- very high blood glucose – if the customer is suffering from symptoms such as thirst, fatigue, excess urination or blurry vision they should follow their doctor’s recommendation for hyperglycaemia.
- Er3 – possible causes:
- incorrect test procedure (eg applying blood to test strip before inserting it in the meter or before the blood symbol appears)
