- JuniorSTAR® is a re-usable pen for the injection of insulin.
- It can be set for doses from 1 to 300 units in steps of 0.5 unit. The minimum dose is 1 unit.
- JuniorSTAR® can only be used with 3mL (300 units) insulin cartridge *U-100) from SAnofi-Aventis Australia pty Ltd or Sanofit-Aventis New Zealand Ltd.
- The insulin cartridge contains 300 units and can be used for multiple injections until it is empty, or 28 days have passed after first use (removed from fridge).
- The plunger will only move to the end of the cartridge when 300 units have been given.
- JuniorSTAR® has been designed to be used for up to 2 years after first use.
- JuniorSTAR® comes in three colours – silver, red and blue.
